According to the police, her boyfriend (Saurabh alias Bittu Jamgade, age 25, resident of Ashti) took her to the hotel on the pretext of going for a trip. There, a heated argument ensued between the two, and in a fit of suspicion, the boyfriend slit her throat or stabbed her to death with a knife. After the murder, the accused jumped from the first floor of the hotel and fled, and is currently on the run.
The police have registered a case of murder against the accused and are searching for him. The incident came to light on January 23, 2026, and an investigation is underway at the local police station.
