Celebrate Local Self-Government Day
Nagpur, Jan 1: All India Local Self Government Organization and Valmiki Nagar Anganwadi No. 101 jointly organized a health check-up camp for children on Tuesday (31st) on the occasion of Local Self Government Organization Day.
Parents of boys and girls in the age group of zero to six in the area responded enthusiastically to the camp.
The camp examined the children's weight, height, chest and abdomen, as well as their primary health. Dr. Suchitra Patwardhan, Dr. Anand Tatte, Col. Dr.A. R. Sringarpure checked the children and advised their parents about their primary health. Also, the distribution of multivitamins required for the development of young children was done at this time. Dietitian Mrs. Sushma Chatterjee informed the parents about the proper diet of the children. The health camp benefited 70 children.
The health camp was inaugurated by Divya Dhurde, Chairperson, Women and Child Welfare Committee, Nagpur Municipal Corporation. Jayant Pathak informed that this day is being celebrated in all the centers across the country as the birthday of the founder of the organization CD Barfiwala. Jayant Pathak informed that CD Barfiwala is the first Director General of the organization and he is credited for taking the organization to the country and abroad.
