Give Bharat Ratna to Major Dhyanchand, Corporation will send resolution- Pramod Tabhane
Nagpur, Dec 30: The importance of sports has increased. Nagpur Municipal Corporation is trying to provide facilities for this. Pramod Tabhane, Chairman, Municipal Sports Committee, stated that he will continue his efforts to make the name of the Corporation bigger in the field of sports.
On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Major Dhyanchand, the magician of hockey, greetings were given on behalf of the Corporation in the Sports Committee Chairman's Room at the Corporation Headquarters. On this occasion, Sports Committee Chairman Pramod Tabhane and Deputy Chairman Lakhan Yerewar greeted Major Dhyanchand by offering a wreath to his portrait.
Sports Committee members Pramod Kaurti, Sheshrao Gotmare, Deputy Commissioner Vijay Deshmukh, Sports Control Officer Nitin Bhole and Sports Officer Piyush Ambulkar were present on the occasion.
Tabhane said that Major Dhyanchand has made a great contribution in the field of sports. He also said that a proposal would be sent to Major Dhyanchand to get Bharat Ratna. He also said that the sports policy of the corporation has been passed giving priority to the sports sector.
