Good News for CBSE Students! Answer Sheet Copies and Re-evaluation Now Available for Just ?100
New Delhi (May 18, 2026):
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has taken a significant decision in the interest of its students. To make the re-evaluation process more accessible and affordable, the fees for obtaining copies of answer sheets, verification of marks, and re-checking of specific questions have been substantially reduced.
New Fee Structure (Previous vs. Current):
Scanned Copy of Answer Sheet: Previously ?700 ? Now ?100
Verification of Marks: Previously ?500 ? Now ?100
Re-checking per Question: Now ?25
Important Note: If a student's marks increase following the re-evaluation, the fee paid will be refunded in full.
The Ministry of Education stated that this decision was taken to alleviate students' concerns and to introduce greater transparency into the examination process. This move will provide financial relief to lakhs of students and enable a larger number of students to participate in the re-evaluation process.
This reform has been implemented against the backdrop of various queries and concerns raised following the declaration of the CBSE Class 10 and 12 results. This marks a positive and welcome step for the students.
