
Journalists honor fund to increase soon- Shambhuraj Desai - Declaration in Legislative Council
Mumbai, Dt. 25- Minister Shambhuraje Desai announced in the Legislative Council today that the oppressive conditions of the Bal Shastri Jambhekar Journalists' Honor Fund Scheme will soon be abolished. Due to this decision of the government, the issue of the stalled honor fund of many senior journalists in the state will be resolved.
The ex-officers of Maharashtra Shramik Journalist Sangh consistently pursued the various demands of the labor journalists to the government. Accordingly, the government announced an increase in the Sammannidhi scheme from 11 thousand to 20 thousand rupees. There was no government order in this regard. It was also announced that this government order will be issued in the next two days.
In the Legislative Council today, some MLAs raised questions from journalists through Lakshvedhi. The government responded positively and made important announcements to meet the various demands of the journalists. Pradip Maitra, president of the Maharashtra Shramik Journalists Association, welcomed the government's announcement.
