Tiger Shroff’s hand injured by gunpowder; Eknath Shinde visits, says – “Five rounds fired, he had a narrow escape”
Mumbai, October 19, 2026: Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff’s car came under fire in the Juhu area on Sunday evening (October 18). While Tiger was not struck directly by a bullet, his hand sustained injuries from gunpowder and shards of glass. Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde visited the actor’s residence on Sunday night to check on his well-being and provided an update on the situation.
Speaking to reporters, Shinde stated, “Five rounds were fired. Fortunately, Tiger remained safe. His driver sustained an injury. This incident is condemnable. I met with the actor; his hand has been injured by gunpowder and glass fragments. Both he and his mother are shaken.”
The incident occurred near Pushpa Narsee Park (Jamnabai Narsee School) in Juhu. As Tiger was leaving after playing football, unidentified assailants opened fire on his BMW car. His driver, Firdous, was struck in the left arm, and an auto-rickshaw driver was also injured. The Mumbai Police confirmed that Tiger is safe and was not hit by any bullets.
Following the attack, Tiger was seen with a bandage on his hand and dressings on his chest and shoulder—details visible in photographs taken during Deputy Chief Minister Shinde’s visit. Shinde assured the family that the state government and the Mumbai Police stand with them. “No form of threat will be tolerated. We will not allow a return to the culture of gang wars in Mumbai,” he asserted.
The police have formed 15 teams to conduct an investigation. According to some reports, claims have emerged that the Lawrence Bishnoi gang has taken responsibility for this attack; however, there has been no official confirmation yet. The investigation is underway.
