Malik's campaign will stall the grand alliance in the municipal corporation; BJP's extreme intransigence

Mumbai: As the political equations in the Mumbai Municipal Corporation election arena are changing, the BJP has taken a firm stand on forming an alliance with the Ajit Pawar group of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP). The BJP has warned that the alliance will be rejected if Nawab Malik is involved in the election campaign or leadership. This statement was given by Mumbai BJP president Ashish Shelar, and this is a condition to ensure that the balance in the grand alliance is not disturbed.
The BJP is preparing for the alliance for the Mumbai Municipal Corporation elections in full swing. It is considering including Ajit Pawar's NCP along with Shiv Sena (Ediya). However, Shelar clarified that there is no coordination with the NCP group under the influence of Nawab Malik. "We are not ready to form an alliance with the group led by Nawab Malik. If they come under the umbrella of Ajit Pawar, then it will be different, otherwise there is no question of an alliance in Mumbai," said Shelar.
Meanwhile, the BJP has started considering giving a key post in the municipal corporation to MP Anil Bonde, who left the Shiv Sena. Bonde was expelled from the party after rebelling in the Shiv Sena. He is now likely to be included in the grand alliance, which will intensify the fight in the 227 wards of Mumbai. According to political analysts, this stance is strategic for the BJP. There is anti-alliance sentiment due to various cases against Nawab Malik (including money laundering). These equations will become clearer as soon as the date of the Mumbai Municipal Corporation elections is announced. Although discussions are currently underway between the Shiv Sena (Edia), BJP and the Ajit group in the grand alliance, there is tension over Malik's role.
