Nagpur, dt. 20: Complete construction of new District Court building before December. Such a suggestion was made by the Guardian Minister Dr. Nitin Raut did it today.
District Court at Civil Lines inspected the construction of the new building. Raut did, he was talking at the time.
Former Minister Satish Chaturvedi, Executive Engineer of Public Works Department Janardan Bhanuse, Deputy Engineer Chandrasekhar Giri, Branch Engineer Rajendra Banait, Rajendra Barai as well as advocates and officials of the court were present on the occasion.
While inspecting the construction of the District Court building, Shri. Raut said solar energy should be used in the construction of the building. Also, state-of-the-art LED lighting system should be installed during construction. State-of-the-art technology should be used in the entire construction. An air-conditioning system should be installed in the room of advocates as well as the room of judges. He also directed to submit a proposal in this regard by Monday.
The construction of the court building should be done keeping in view the changes of about 20 to 25 years in the future. The space here should be properly managed. Lifts with more person capacity should be installed. The rest of the construction plan should be outlined and submitted immediately. The building should be constructed with a view to enhance the name of Nagpur city, said Shri. Raut gave this time.
The construction of the new District Court building has an administrative sanction of Rs 94.24 crore. The building has ten floors and the ground floor, first and second floors are reserved for parking. On the third floor there is an office, a restaurant and a temporary prison. There is a court hall on all five floors up to the fourth and eighth floors. There are a total of 25 such court halls on this floor. On the ninth floor is the court of the Chief District Judge. There is a meeting hall as well as a spacious hall for organizing various events. Construction of the building started in January, 2017 and has cost Rs 80 crore so far. Another Rs 21 crore is required for further construction. The construction of the buildings will be completed in about three to four months after the funds become available, informed Shri. The archeological building in the court premises has been preserved and a new building corresponding to that building is also being given a look. So as to add to the beauty of the area. The old building is connected to the new building on the third and fourth floors. The three-storey car park will be reserved for traffic.
