Pakistani Minister's Aggressive Stance Against India: Threat of War and Historical Distortion

New Delhi, October 8, 2025 :As the border tension between India and Pakistan is getting darker day by day, Pakistan's Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has once again made a venomous speech against India. Relations between the two countries have deteriorated more than ever after Operation Sindoor, and Asif, in an interview given to a Pakistani news channel, made a hollow threat of war to India and also distorted historical facts. "If there is a war, Allah will give us a bigger victory than before," he said, raising questions about India's unity. This statement has exposed Pakistan's position internationally, and India has given a strong response to this and said that it is trying for peace.

Operation Sindoor: Testimony of India's Bravery

The basic premise of these developments is Operation Sindoor, which took place last year. In response to the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, India targeted terrorist camps in Pakistan-occupied territory. More than 100 terrorists were killed in this operation, while the Indian Air Force also carried out precision strikes on Pakistani army bases. This operation was not just revenge, but a symbol of India's determination against terrorism. However, Pakistan tried to defame India on international forums by portraying this operation as an "invasion". As a result, border firing between the two countries increased, and now Asif's statement has started to raise the specter of war again.

After Operation Sindoor, Pakistan increased military preparedness on the border. India was alerted due to their movements in the Sir Creek area. Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh expressed concern about this in a recent meeting. "Pakistan's increase in troops and construction in Sir Creek is a threat to peace. If they dare, India will give a befitting reply to it. Pakistan should not forget that the road to Karachi passes through Sir Creek," Singh clearly stated. This reaction is believed to be an indirect response to Asif's threat.

Asif's poisonous language: Key statements

In an interview with a Pakistani news channel, Khwaja Asif started with the history of India. "If we look back in history, India existed only as a princely state. That was in the 18th century and during the time of Aurangzeb. India was never a country. There was a time when 540 princely states existed," he said, attacking the unified nature of India. This claim is completely wrong historically. India's cultural and political unity has existed for thousands of years, as evidenced by the Vedas, the Mahabharata and the Maurya Empire. Asif's statement seems to be an attempt to strengthen Pakistan's religious nationalism.

Speaking further, Asif said, "We have created a nation in the name of Allah. So much fighting is going on between us from top to bottom. This is going on from north to south. These things are having an impact. I think a war-like situation is emerging once again." This statement indirectly held India responsible while mentioning Pakistan's internal instability. Finally, he made an exaggerated claim about the capabilities of the Pakistani army, threatening, "But if there is a war this time, Allah will give us a bigger victory than before." This statement seems to forget Pakistan's defeat in the 1971 war, in which India taught Pakistan a real lesson by liberating Bangladesh. This is not the first time that Khawaja Asif has taken a dig at India. Earlier, he had made controversial remarks about the Indian Air Force, in which he had said, "If Indian planes enter Pakistani territory, we will not let them leave." However, in Operation Sindoor, the Indian Air Force had fooled the Pakistani air defense system, and its cover was exposed. According to international analysts, Pakistan's defense budget is only $ 10 billion, while India's is $ 70 billion. In such a situation, Asif's threat is considered to be just a political game.
