Parents using nylon kite string to be fined Rs. 50,000! *Action will also be taken against sellers*
Nagpur, Dated 26: Due to nylon kite string, many people, along with birds, have been involved in accidents in various places. Many have lost their lives. Despite the High Court issuing orders from time to time during the hearing of various cases, if this is not being stopped, the Hon'ble High Court has raised an indignant question as to why strict action, including monetary fines, should not be taken against the parents of children using the string, as well as the sellers and other concerned parties. The court has directed that if the concerned parties have any submissions regarding this matter, they should present them before the court during the hearing on January 5th.
During the hearing of a petition filed regarding nylon kite string before the Hon'ble High Court bench in Nagpur, various questions were raised. The court opined that the sellers of the kite string should be held responsible. Along with this, Justices Anil Kilore and Rajnish Vyas raised an indignant question as to why directions should not be given to the parents of a minor child found flying a kite with nylon string to deposit Rs. 50,000 as a fine in the court. The hearing on this petition is ongoing before their bench.
The court also raised questions during the hearing as to why an adult found flying a kite with nylon string should not be fined Rs. 50,000, and why a seller found stocking such nylon string for the purpose of sale should not be ordered to deposit Rs. 2,50,000 as a fine for each violation. The next hearing on this matter has been scheduled for January 5th, and the court has clarified that those who wish to make submissions against the aforementioned proposed action should appear in court in person and present their arguments. If no one is present to submit their views during this hearing, it will be assumed that there are no objections to this proposal. In this regard, the court has also issued orders to all District Collectors to undertake all necessary publicity to ensure widespread public awareness.
