Fadnavis's criticism: Those who threatened the Police Commissioner have given nominations to criminals
Pune: Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar had warned the Police Commissioner regarding the rising crime rate and the issue of the 'Koyta Gang' (machete gang) in Pune. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis strongly criticized this. Fadnavis said that those who threatened to take action against the Police Commissioner have given election tickets to criminals and their relatives. He was speaking at the 'Dialogue with Pune residents' program in the context of the Pune Municipal Corporation elections.
Fadnavis further said, "Those who talk about eradicating crime are themselves giving nominations to criminals. Pune residents will not accept this. Even if such criminals get elected, their place will not be in the municipal corporation, but in jail. As Home Minister, I am committed to completely eradicating crime in Pune."
'Pune Growth Hub' to increase Pune's GDP
Pune's contribution to Maharashtra's $580 billion GDP is $78 billion. The 'Pune Growth Hub' concept is being implemented to increase this share to $280 billion. Emphasis will be placed on the integrated development of Pune, Pimpri-Chinchwad, and the PMRDA (Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority) area, Fadnavis said.
Regarding the political family coming together
I thank MNS chief Raj Thackeray for giving me the credit for the two brothers coming together. It is a good thing for a family to come together. Whether the brother and sister have come together or not will be known later, Fadnavis said.
Ajit Pawar is the 'Dada' in the government
Responding to a question, Fadnavis said that Chandrakant Patil is the 'Dada' (elder brother/leader) in the BJP, while Ajit Pawar is the 'Dada' in the state government.
