Nagpur, Dec 21: The Balasaheb Thackeray Samrudhi Highway, which was blocked due to corona, will be completed in December. Will be open to traffic immediately. This highway will bring prosperity to trade and business. Urban Development Minister Eknath Shinde expressed confidence that this will lead to economic prosperity.

 He was speaking while inspecting the Samrudhi Highway at Nagpur. Work on the state's ambitious superfast Balasaheb Thackeray Maharashtra Samrudhi Highway is currently in full swing. Corona slowed down the work. Now this work has gained momentum. 74 per cent work of the highway has been completed. The problem of land acquisition is over. The work of 500 km length up to Shirdi was almost completed.
This route can cover the distance from Nagpur to Mumbai in just seven hours. Prior to this, it used to take 12 to 14 hours. As this road will go to Mumbai's JNPT port, many industries will come to Vidarbha.
He said that in the past, Mumbai, Pune and Aurangabad were not far ahead of entrepreneurs. This highway will now bring trade, business and economic prosperity to Vidarbha. On Samrudhi Highway, 250 MW of electricity will be generated by solar energy. 20 new stations will also be developed.
