Prajakta Verma is the new Divisional Commissioner of Nagpur

 Nagpur, dt. 22: Secretary of Marathi Language Department Smt. Prajakta Verma has been appointed as Divisional Commissioner of Nagpur. With this appointment, she became the first women divisional commissioner of Nagpur division.
  Mrs. Verma is a chartered officer of the 2001 batch of the Indian Administrative Service. He started his career as a prefect at Vaijapur in Aurangabad district.
She was currently working as a secretary in the Marathi language department. He has previously served as Chief Executive Officer of Ahmednagar Zilla Parishad, Dhule District Collector, Director General of Information and Public Relations, Joint Commissioner of Sales Tax, Joint Secretary in the Office of the Chief Secretary, Commissioner of State Excise, and Managing Director of CIDCO.
            While co-managing director at CIDCO, he was responsible for rehabilitating ten villages, including villages, for the Navi Mumbai International Airport. She was the Dhule Collector. Also, while he was the Chief Executive Officer of Ahmednagar Zilla Parishad, 163 villages have received Nirmal Gram Award from the Central Government through public participation in Sant Gadge Baba Abhiyan, Haganadari Mukta Abhiyan After joining the government service as a prefect at Vaijapur in Aurangabad district, the Vaijapur Panchayat Samiti got the first prize (Rs. 17 lakhs) through public participation in the Mahatma Phule Water Conservation Campaign. Mrs. Verma served as the Director General of the Directorate General of Information and Public Relations from June 2009 to May 2011 and undertook various initiatives to make the department more technical friendly.
