Raj and Uddhav Join Forces Against Election Commission; BJP Taunted with "A Guilty Conscience Pricks" Jibe
Mumbai – The MNS and the Uddhav-led faction of the Shiv Sena will hold a joint protest march in Mumbai on October 4 against the functioning of the Election Commission. Raj Thackeray and Uddhav Thackeray held a joint press conference on Monday to provide details about this march.
Raj Thackeray stated that this march is not directed against any specific political party but is against the Election Commission's conduct over the past few years. There will be no party flags in the march; instead, everyone will carry the Tricolour. He clarified that since the issue concerns the country's democracy and Constitution, the Tricolour would be the only flag displayed.
Route and Timing of the March
The march is scheduled for October 4, starting at 10:00 AM from Byculla and proceeding to the Mumbai Municipal Corporation (CSMT) headquarters. The march will commence at 11:30 AM and culminate in a concluding rally outside the municipal headquarters. Raj Thackeray said, "I have been speaking on this subject for many years. Back in 2017-18, I met several leaders regarding EVMs and related issues. I will speak about this in detail on the 4th."
Invitation to All Parties
The future course of action will be decided after the march. Invitations will be extended to all political parties; even members of the ruling party are welcome to join. "This march is not against any party. The Election Commission will realize that people are ready to take to the streets," Raj Thackeray warned.

When asked about the BJP’s rebuttal to the criticism leveled at the Election Commission, Raj Thackeray remarked, "A guilty conscience pricks... Why does the BJP feel agitated when we speak about the Election Commission?"
Uddhav Thackeray’s Statement
Uddhav Thackeray extended his full support to the 'Cockroach Janata Party's' march scheduled for October 2. Noting that they had also supported the earlier protest at Jantar Mantar, they said, “We stand with anyone who protests to save democracy. However, it is not necessary for everyone to appear on each other's platforms. The Congress has held a protest, CJP is organizing a march, and we are organizing a march on the 4th. An opposition meeting is scheduled for tomorrow at the national level. After that, if deemed necessary, we will launch a united, powerful offensive.”
Both leaders also emphasized that this march is not a matter of competition; rather, everyone should protest for democracy in their own way.
