Stop BJP's 'Modi-EVM' formula in Mumbai Municipal Corporation elections: Raj Thackeray's warning to MNS workers

Mumbai, December 29, 2025 - To deliver a blow to the ruling grand alliance in the upcoming Mumbai Municipal Corporation elections, the Uddhav Sena and Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) have formed an alliance. Against this backdrop, MNS president Raj Thackeray has made a strong appeal to the party's workers and office-bearers. "The BJP is trying to capture Mumbai on the strength of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and EVMs. We have to save Mumbai at any cost," Raj Thackeray stated firmly.
While preparing for the filing of nomination papers in Mumbai, Raj Thackeray addressed the workers, saying, "The BJP people are acting arrogantly on the strength of Modi and EVMs. Some people are dreaming of taking control of Mumbai. To shatter this dream, we all must come together and fight. The responsibility of saving Mumbai rests on all of us. Recognize the true nature of the crisis and save Mumbai without leaving any stone unturned."
Emphasizing the importance of the alliance, Raj Thackeray further said, "In this election, no one should be disappointed over the number of seats. Personal interests are nothing compared to the interests of the Marathi people. Now the responsibility of saving Mumbai is ours. We have to win this battle by upholding the principles of the alliance. This is not just an election, but a battle for our existence. Mumbai must remain in our hands under any circumstances."
Raj Thackeray underlined that the Mumbai Municipal Corporation election will be crucial for the city's development and Marathi identity. He expressed confidence that this alliance will pose a tough challenge to the grand alliance. There is an atmosphere of enthusiasm among the MNS and Shiv Sena workers, while a reaction from the BJP to this statement is expected.
