To old booksellers Metro should wake up - Dr. Nitin Raut


Nagpur, dt. 20: The Guardian Minister instructed the Metro to provide space for the sale of books to the shopkeepers selling old books at Sitabardi. Presented by Nitin Raut today.
 Competitive exam students as well as researchers and practitioners in various fields buy a large number of old books. Raut said efforts should be made to ensure that the business that the booksellers have been doing for many years is not harmed.
He was speaking at a meeting held at the Collectorate on the issue of booksellers. Collector Vimala R., Municipal Commissioner Radhakrishnan B. Naresh Wahane, President, Nagpur Book Dealers Welfare Association, Anil Kokate, Executive Director, Administration, Metro were present.

The 20-story Metro building will be located at Freedom Park. The Guardian Minister directed that alternative space should be provided to the old booksellers in the form of ten by ten or eight by ten. The matter will be reviewed again in the next fortnight, he said.
            After the meeting, he directed the officials of National Highways Development Authority to visit Gurukrupa Colony Cantonment Kamathi and make alternative arrangements. Abhijit Jichkar, Executive Director, National Highways Development Authority was present on the occasion.
