Nagpur, Dec 07: Corona infection is on the rise among children. A task force comprising of pediatricians has been set up to plan treatment protocols at the divisional level including Nagpur, considering the possibility of increasing the incidence of infection in children in the third wave. The task force will work for the care and treatment of children. Presented by Sanjeev Kumar here today.

A well-equipped Covid Hospital with ICU and NICU for 200-bed children is being set up at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) with a view to implementing immediate measures to curb the third wave of corona, the Divisional Commissioner said today.
A special meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Divisional Commissioner on the task force of pediatricians in the auditorium of the Divisional Commissioner's Office to anticipate the third wave of corona and deal with corona infection in children.

Dr. Ajay Kewalia, AIIMS Manish Srigiriwar, Dr. Dipti Jain, Dr. Vinita Jain, Dr. Devpujari, Dr. Kush Jhunjhunwala, Dr. Meenakshi Girish, Dr. Satish Devpujari, Dr. Ravindra Savarkar, Dr. Nirmal Jaiswal, Dr. Ravi Shankar Dhakate, Dr. Pankaj Agarwal, Dr. Rajesh Gosavi, Dr. Ram Dudhe, Dr. Om Dhavade was present.
In the third wave, a task force of pediatricians has been formed to determine the necessary procedures for immediate treatment of corona infections in children, to provide training and effective guidance to medical officers and other staff in private and government hospitals for effective treatment.
In this Dr. Vinita Jain, Dr. Uday Bodhankar, Dr. Devpujari, Dr. Kush Jhunjhunwala, Dr. Dr. Dipti Jain of AIIMS. Meenakshi Girish and others have been included.
           
When treating corona in young children, the average age group from zero to 18 years is 4 to 6 percent. Children are more likely to have three types of corona. For this, fever clinic will be started immediately and information about the treatment will be given. Considering the possibility of this wave in Nagpur division, there was a discussion on how to prepare ICU and NICU beds in general. Government Medical College, Indira Gandhi Government Medical College, Superspeciality Hospital as well as private hospitals treating children were also included in the task force.
