Nagpur, Dec 22: Efforts are being made at all levels to create an environmentally friendly transport system in the city. Citizens should also take responsible initiative in this. Bicycle travel is cheap. Excellent in terms of environmental conservation along with physical fitness. Nagpur Municipal Commissioner Radhakrishnan B. inaugurated the cycle rally organized on the occasion of World Car Free Day. Did this morning at the Ladies Club, Civil Lines. The cycle rally was jointly organized by Nagpur Municipal Corporation, Nagpur Police, Nagpur Smart and Sustainable City Development Corporation, Nagpur Metro, Mills and Millers, Cycle for Change, India Pedals, Laughter Rider and Runners. The message of environmental protection, use of environmentally friendly vehicles, use of public transport and environmental conservation along with good health was conveyed through this cycle rally.
Municipal Commissioner Radhakrishnan b. He appealed to the citizens to use public transport. He said that this is an important initiative in terms of reducing pollution in the city by promoting eco-friendly transport system in Nagpur city.
