Vehicles will run through the river 2400 crore sanctioned - Nitin Gadkari
Nagpur, Dec. 18: The program was planned to start 'Water Transport' from Nagpur's Nagnadi. Union Minister Nitin Gadkari informed that Rs 2400 crore has been sanctioned for this.
He was speaking at a program to set up a small wastewater treatment and recycling project at Shankarnagar Park. Gadkari said,
A consultant will be appointed in the next 15 days. Then this work will accelerate.
He further said that 240 grounds in Nagpur are to be improved. 120 of them are played on the ground. These grounds will be supplied with water from a sewage treatment plant constructed by Nasupra.
Speaking on biofuels, he said, "I think all petrol pumps in Nagpur should be closed." Ethanol should be used exclusively as fuel in Nagpur city. Your efforts are ongoing. E-transport is being heavily promoted for this. He also suggested that Manpa should now take initiative for the production of 'Green Hydrogen' which is produced from water. He apprised Mayor Tiwari, Commissioner Radhakrishnan B. about the 12 small scale wastewater treatment and recycling projects being implemented by Nagpur Municipal Corporation.
