An important meeting of the state government's Maratha Reservation Sub-Committee was held in this regard. After this meeting, they informed that they have taken a positive stand on the issue of Manoj Jarange Patil's agitation.
What did Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil say?
"We all met in the backdrop of Manoj Jarange's agitation. There was a positive discussion on all the issues in this meeting. Konkan Divisional Commissioner Justice Shinde and the Secretary of the Department Suryavanshi will go to meet Manoj Jarange Patil to discuss with him. They will first discuss with Jarange. After that, if any questions arise, we will hold another meeting and then comment," Vikhe Patil has clarified.
"The Mahayuti's stand is that the issue of Maratha reservation should be resolved without politics and all the leaders are united on this. The Municipal Commissioner has been ordered to provide the facilities required for the agitation, such as water, electricity and toilets. There is a lot of mud, which is causing problems for the agitation. We will give detailed information about it after meeting Manoj Jarange Patil," he also said.
Speaking on this occasion, Vikhe Patil also gave a good account to the opposition. Saying that the government does not need Sanjay Raut's suggestions, Vikhe Patil raised the question of why the issue of Maratha reservation was not resolved during his two and a half years. Vikhe Patil also said that the allegations of restaurants being closed and electricity being cut in Mumbai are wrong. He clarified that there is no electricity in Azad Maidan after 6 pm as per the High Court's decision. He also accused Rohit Pawar and leaders like him of only doing politics.
Meanwhile, the government has taken a positive stand on two demands of Manoj Jarange. Among them, the government is positive about withdrawing the cases registered during the Maratha agitation and is ready to withdraw the cases registered during the agitation, except for serious crimes. The government is also thinking positively about including the heirs of those who died during the agitation in government jobs along with financial assistance.
