Nagpur, Tal. 19: Even if the school is closed during the Corona period, additional fees should not be collected from the parents. Minister of State for School Education Omprakash alias Bachchu Kadu directed that criminal cases should be filed directly if such incidents take place anywhere.

He called a meeting of education department officials and directed them to take stern action against the schools for charging extra fees.
Schools have been closed due to corona since last year. Instead online learning is on. Despite this, there are complaints that charges are being levied on many items which have not been serviced. It is illegal to charge such fees when the school is closed. The High as well as the Supreme Court have also directed schools not to charge extra tuition fees during natural calamities. But some schools in Nagpur division are ignoring this and charging tuition fees. He directed the authorities to take direct criminal action against the schools in Nagpur division which collected extra tuition fees from the parents.
Strictly implement the State Educational Institutions Fees Act 2011 in the entire state. Every rule should be followed by the schools. Extra charges should not be found anywhere. Minister of State Kadu directed the education department to take necessary action in time considering the complaints of the parents.
The parents expressed satisfaction that Minister of State for School Education Bachchubhau Kadu himself took note of the complaint and got justice.
The meeting was attended by Divisional Deputy Director of Education Vaishali Jamadar, Assistant Director Satish Mendhe, Education Officer Chintaman Vanjari, Divisional Fee Regulation Committee Member Chandramani Borkar, Babita Sharma, Adv. Parents like Pawan Sahare, Akshay Gul, Gulhane, Ajay Chalkhure, Amit Hoshing were present.
