?73,000 Crore ‘Mega-Scam’ in Anil Ambani Group Loan Case; CBI Submits Shocking Report to Supreme Court


Mumbai/New Delhi, April 7, 2026: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has alleged a massive bank loan fraud amounting to ?73,006 crore against Anil Ambani’s Reliance Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group (RADAG). In one specific instance, bank claims totaling ?2,983 crore were settled for a mere ?26 crore. It has been revealed that eight private financial companies (NBFCs) were utilized to facilitate this transaction.

On March 23, 2026, the Supreme Court directed senior officials from both the CBI and the ED to coordinate their efforts and complete this investigation in a transparent manner within a stipulated timeframe. A bench headed by Chief Justice Surya Kant had previously expressed displeasure regarding the delays in the investigation.
