Al Qaeda's mastermind in India, what is Shama's Pakistan connection?

Gujarat ATS:-The Gujarat ATS has arrested a woman in a case of social media propaganda related to the banned terrorist organization Al-Qaeda in the Indian Subcontinent (AQIS). The name of this woman is Shama Parveen and it has come to light that she is the mastermind of Al-Qaeda. Although she is originally from Jharkhand, she was currently living in the RT Nagar area of Bengaluru. From where the ATS arrested her. Her arrest has created a stir and the question has arisen whether Al Qaeda is spreading its feet in India.
Who is Shama Parveen?
Shama Parveen is a prominent member of Al-Qaeda. She is accused of spreading jihadi propaganda on social media. She was targeting young people for this. The ATS had been instructed to keep an eye on those spreading radical content on social media for some time. Under this, a special team of ATS found several social media accounts, which were spreading messages inciting jihad, Ghazwa-e-Hind and violence against the Indian government.
How was Shama doing jihadi propaganda?
Terrorist ideology was being continuously spread through Facebook pages and Instagram accounts named “Strangers of The Nation” and “Strangers of The Nation 2”. Videos and provocative speeches of Al-Qaeda leaders were being shared from these accounts. After which the ATS became alert. Shama Parveen’s Pakistan connection has also come to light. She was under the influence of AQIS chief Maulana Asim Umar alias Sanaul Haq. She was constantly posting provocative statements of Maulana Asim Umar on social media and brainwashing people.
Who was Maulana Asim Umar alias Sanaul Haq?
In 2014, Al-Qaeda chief al-Zawahiri appointed Maulana Asim Umar as the head of AQIS. Maulana Asim Umar was originally from Sambhal in Uttar Pradesh, who went to Pakistan and then Afghanistan in the 90s. In 2019, Asim Umar was killed by the US army in Afghanistan. Still, Asim Umar's statements are available on social media today. They motivate people to become terrorists. The terrorists arrested from Noida, Delhi and Gujarat, including Shama, were not only listening to Maulana Asim Umar's statements, but were also constantly sharing them on social media.
How did the ATS team reach Shama?
The ATS first arrested four people from Ahmedabad, Morbi, Delhi and Noida. Through their interrogation and examination of digital evidence, the name of Shama Parveen came to light. She was the real user of these accounts. After that, the Gujarat ATS team reached Bengaluru. Shama Parveen was arrested on July 29 with the help of local police and central agencies. Initial investigation has found several videos and posts from her mobile phone. Which contain evidence of jihadi speeches, anti-India statements and attempts to incite youth to violence.
Shama under interrogation
According to the ATS, Shama Parveen had posted inflammatory videos of Al-Qaeda's Maulana Asim Umar, Anwar al-Awlaki and Maulana Abdul Aziz of Lal Masjid in Lahore on social media. In these videos, there was talk of taking up arms, waging war against the government and spreading communal tension in the country. A case has been registered against Shama Parveen under various sections of the UAPA and the Indian Penal Code (Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita). She is currently being interrogated and her social media accounts, emails and foreign contacts are also being thoroughly investigated.
