BJP will not rely on Modi factor in assembly elections

Mumbai. After the loss in the Lok Sabha elections in Maharashtra, BJP has now started making strategy for the assembly elections. Assembly elections can also be held in Maharashtra in October. BJP had won 23 Lok Sabha seats in 2019, but this time it was reduced to 9. BJP sources say that first of all BJP wants to remove the shortcomings within the alliance.
Within the Mahayuti itself, there has been a rift between Shiv Sena and Ajit Pawar-led NCP. At the same time, it is being told that it may be difficult to reach a consensus on seat sharing in the assembly elections.
Modi factor did not benefit
According to a report, this time BJP has decided to give prominence to the state leaders. Only the roadmap suggested by them will be put forward. BJP believes that the people of Maharashtra could not be satisfied due to direct interference of the Center. In a recent meeting, BJP leaders said that due to centralized politics, Maharashtra has suffered losses. The script used to come from the center and only it had to be followed in the state. Modi factor was kept in the forefront and local issues were ignored. In such a situation, the opposition got the advantage.
BJP has also realized that communication in the organization had reduced before the elections. Strategy could not be prepared due to lack of communication between the cadre and the leadership. Decisions of the organization were imposed on the cadre without consulting them. They kept watching all this like audience in a theater. A senior BJP minister said that it is necessary to implement effective communication in the organization. BJP has suffered a big loss due to lack of communication.
BJP leaders will visit 48 Lok Sabha seats
A total of 48 Lok Sabha seats in Maharashtra will now be targeted for the assembly elections. BJP leaders will visit all the Lok Sabha constituencies and promote the strategy for the poor. At the same time, BJP will hold another meeting next month, in which the progress of the strategy will be discussed. BJP also knows that this time Mahavikas Aghadi is going to give a tough challenge in the assembly elections.
State BJP chief Bawankule said that whatever problems were there in the organization and alliance are over. Now preparations for the assembly elections will be done as a team.
Let us tell you that at present, BJP is the largest party with 105 seats in the 288-seat assembly. In such a situation, consensus on seat sharing is also not easy. BJP also knows that if there is a split in the Mahayuti, then it will have to come on the back foot. BJP contested the elections in 2019 along with Shiv Sena and won 56 seats. In the Lok Sabha elections, Mahayuti won 17 seats, while Mahavikas Aghadi captured 30 seats. After this, both Bawankule and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis had proposed to resign. However, Home Minister Amit Shah refused to do so. Devendra Fadnavis has admitted that there is a big challenge for the party ahead in the state.
