A senior police officer said that the accused had demanded fifty lakhs. Out of which Rs 20.50 lakhs was given in the initial form. It is being said that this amount was being demanded by pressuring the complainant.

He further said that the complainant submitted concrete evidence of the transaction. After that, the vigilance team laid a trap and arrested the accused officer. Preliminary investigation has also revealed that the female sub-inspector had taken the doctor and her son to a room in the police station. Here, the female police officer beat them up and threatened them. Apart from this, she was pressured to pay the bribe amount. The accused officer belongs to the 2014 batch of Delhi Police. She lives in Paschim Vihar and is suspected of being helped by a male colleague.
