Governor's Hindi Speech Sparks Controversy; Maha Vikas Aghadi signals conflict

Jitendra Awhad on Ramesh Bais Hindi Speech : After Bhagatsinh Koshyari's arrest, there were signs that the ongoing struggle between Raj Bhavan and Mahavikas Aghadi would stop. However, on the very first day of the budget session, a new controversy has been sparked. New Governor Ramesh Bais' speech in Hindi before the Joint House of the Legislature on Marathi Language Glory Day has been the reason for this.
NCP MLA Jitendra Awad has strongly objected to the Governor's speech. Awad expressed his strong displeasure at the governor's speech saying, 'At the beginning of the budget session, the governor gives his first speech in Hindi in the joint house of the Legislative Assembly, it is an insult to Maharashtra.
He was talking to reporters in the Vidhan Bhavan premises. Durga Bhagwat has said at one place that Marathi was born before Sanskrit. Eight languages of the southern province are sitting with elite status and Marathi is still rubbing its head on the Delhi board asking to give our language elite status. The aim of this is to promote and spread the Marathi language. The Center has not yet given its nod. Today is Marathi Language Pride Day. All the members in the assembly came together to get the status of classical language for Marathi. In spite of all this, the Governor speaks in Hindi, it is an insult to Maharashtra. The soil of Maharashtra and Mumbai has the fragrance of language. Jitendra Awad also alleged that the rulers have done the work of putting Hindi on the heads of the people of North India without speaking that language.
It is a tradition that every Governor speaks in Marathi only. Even P. C, Alexander also used to speak in Marathi. Even our governor should have spoken in Marathi. However, the fault of the cabinet is more than theirs. 'Governor's speech is allowed in the cabinet, which means Hindi language is allowed. Jitendra Awad also said that it is unfortunate that this is happening on the same day as Marathi Language Day.
