How did the former commissioner get caught in the ED's action? What is the case of 41 unauthorized buildings in Nalasopara?

Nalasopara: Action has been taken against 41 unauthorized buildings on reserved land in Nalasopara. Under this action, the ED is conducting a raid in the money laundering case. The action taken by the ED against the land mafia builder architect, municipal officials and now the former commissioner has created a stir. We are going to tell you what the exact case is and how the action was taken in it.
What is the case?
After the incident of demolishing 41 illegal buildings built on the land reserved for the dumping ground and sewage treatment plant (STP plant) in Agarwal Nagar in Nalasopara, the municipal corporation had removed the reservation on that land. The municipal corporation had issued this notification. Deputy Director of Urban Planning Y. S. Reddy signed this notification.
This demolition operation affected about 3000 families, but if the Municipal Corporation wanted to change the reservation on the concerned plot, why did it make these families homeless? This question was being asked.
In fact, the 41 buildings that were constructed illegally on the land where there was reservation and did not have a dumping ground and STP plant were hampering the development of the city. Therefore, the Supreme Court also upheld the decision of the Bombay High Court to demolish the said 41 buildings and finally the buildings were demolished.
However, it was alleged that this was a conspiracy to demolish the unauthorized buildings on the reserved plot and free up the plot and change the reservation of that place and make the said plot free for the land mafia and construction professionals. The ED suspected that there was a big financial misappropriation for this work. It was seen that there was an unscrupulous alliance between the land mafia builders and the Municipal Corporation officials. Many people had also filed complaints about this. That is why the ED initially raided the land mafia and other construction professionals including the then Bahujan Vikas Aghadi corporator Sitaram Gupta.
Then on May 14, action was taken against the Deputy Director of the Municipal Corporation's Town Planning Department, Y.S. Reddy, and some builders. Raids were conducted at 13 places in Vasai Virar, including Y.S. Reddy's residence in Hyderabad. During this time, gold and cash worth Rs 32 crores were seized from Reddy's house.
Then on July 1, the ED created a sensation when it raided the houses and residences of architects, builders and municipal engineers in Vasai Virar. This action was related to the money laundering case in the 41 unauthorized building case in Nalasopara.
The threads of the investigation conducted during all these actions went to former Municipal Commissioner Anil Kumar Pawar. Moreover, in the last days of his transfer, he cleared many types of files, gave CCs to buildings, paid the bills of contractors of different departments. Importantly, it is being reported that the ED has taken this action because Anil Kumar Pawar is somehow connected to the money laundering case in the 41 unauthorized building case.
