Jawani Mein Silent Killer! 18 thousand heart attack deaths in Haryana in 6 years, from 2020 to 2026 statistics are shocking; Even though Corona has increased since yesterday, the government has not done any investigation
Chandigarh/Haryana, 20th March 2026: A shocking revelation has been made in the Haryana Legislative Assembly on Wednesday. According to the data presented by the state government in the House, from January 2020 to January 2026, 17,973 youths aged between 18 and 45 years have died of heart attack or heart failure in 6 years. This figure shows an average of about 8 deaths per day, which points to a serious health crisis for the young generation.
This information was given by Health Minister Aarti Rao in the House in response to a written question by Congress MLAs (including Vinesh Phogat from Julana). A steady increase in the number of deaths has been observed year-on-year:
2020: 2,394 deaths
2021: 3,188 deaths
2022: 2,796 deaths
2023: 2,886 deaths
2024: 3,063 deaths
2025: 3,255 deaths (most)
January 2026: 391 deaths
Total: 17,973 (approx. 18,000)
Opposition legislators questioned the possible link between these deaths with corona infection or the Kovid-19 vaccine, but the government clarified that no study or survey has been conducted in this regard. District-wise figures were also presented, with some districts showing significantly higher numbers of deaths.
Experts say that factors such as stress, unhealthy lifestyle, pollution, lack of exercise, smoking, junk food and post-Covid effects can be behind the increasing cases of heart attacks in the youth. A sharp rise in deaths has been seen since 2022, reflecting the post-corona situation.
Concerns and Precautions:
Heart attack becomes the 'silent killer' of the young generation.
Regular health checkups, exercise, balanced diet and stress management advice.
Demand from the government that an in-depth study be conducted on the causes of death and an awareness campaign be launched.
These figures are like Public Health Emergency in Haryana. Doctors and health experts have appealed to the youth to change their lifestyle immediately, so that this trend can be stopped.
