Kejriwal did not get bail from High Court, will remain in jail for now

New Delhi. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has got a setback from Delhi High Court. Delhi CM Kejriwal was granted bail by the lower court in the money laundering case related to the excise policy. The High Court had stayed the ED's plea against it. Now the High Court has refused to grant bail, which means Kejriwal will remain in jail for now.
In this case, the High Court had reserved the decision by putting an interim stay on the bail. Today the court gave its verdict, in which Kejriwal did not get any relief. Kejriwal approached the Supreme Court against this, where during the hearing on Monday, the Supreme Court called the High Court's decision to reserve the decision as 'unusual' and said that usually the decision in the stay petition is taken on the spot i.e. at the same time.
What will happen on Kejriwal's petition in the Supreme Court
Earlier, Kejriwal's lawyer had approached the Supreme Court on the High Court staying the bail without seeing the lower court's order. The Supreme Court had raised questions on the High Court's decision. He said that if the High Court makes a mistake, should the Supreme Court repeat it? We will wait for the High Court's order. Now after the High Court's order, we will wait for the Supreme Court's decision on Kejriwal's bail tomorrow i.e. on Wednesday.
