
MNS' Rudravatar in Panvel; Attack on 'Night Rider' bar, 8 people in police custody
Panvel: Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) workers attacked the *'Night Rider Live Orchestra Bar'* at Ajivali in Panvel taluka late on Sunday night. In this attack, the glass of the bar was broken, the doors were hit with wooden sticks, and the staff was threatened and warned to close the bar. A case has been registered in this case at the Panvel taluka police station.
How did the incident happen?
According to the complaint filed by the complainant Ramanna Kalappa Shetty (51), a business hotelier, resident of Kalpataru Society, Panvel, on August 2, 2025, at around 11.30 pm, while he was in his 'Night Rider' Live Orchestra Bar, a group of 15-20 MNS workers suddenly appeared in front of the bar.
The activists, who gathered along with MNS Metropolitan Spokesperson Yogesh Chille, Rahul Chavan, Sanjay Murkute, Kiran Gurav, Akshay Hake, shouted slogans like “May Maharashtra Navnirman Sena win, may Rajsaheb win, break the bar, break the bar”. After that, they threw stones at the bar and damaged the glass. The doors and boards were hit with wooden sticks.
Creating terror, threats to the staff
After the attack, the accused threatened the complainant and the bar staff and forced them to close the bar immediately. Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident. However, there was extensive damage to the glass and other materials of the bar. In this case, the Panvel Taluka Police has registered a case under the B. J. No. A case number 202/2025 has been registered under sections 329(1), 189(2), 191(1)(2)(3), 324(5), 125, 352, 351(3), as well as sections 441, 143, 147, 148, 427, 336, 504, 506 of the IPC. Eight activists including Yogesh Chile have been arrested and will be produced before the Panvel court in the afternoon.
