Major accident in Galwan, 2 officers martyred, 3 seriously injured

A major accident has taken place in the Charbagh area of Galwan, Ladakh. A stone fell on an army vehicle. The vehicle was damaged. Two officers were martyred along with it. Three officers were seriously injured. The injured have been airlifted. Among the injured are 2 majors and a captain. The convoy of soldiers was on a training trip from Durbuk to Chongtas. The accident took place around 11.30 am on Wednesday. The military vehicle going from Durbuk to Chongtas faced a landslide. In this, Lieutenant Colonel Mankotia and Daljit Singh of 14 Sindh Horse were martyred. Major Mayank Shubham (14 Sindh Horse), Major Amit Dixit and Captain Gaurav (60 Armed) were injured.
The injured soldiers have been taken to 153 GH Leh. The Indian Army's Fire and Fury Corps has informed about this accident. On July 30, a large boulder fell from a mountain on an army vehicle in Ladakh around 11.30 am. Rescue work is underway.
Accident in Ramban
This is the biggest accident involving an army vehicle in recent months. Earlier this year, in May this year, an army vehicle had an accident in Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir. The accident took place near Battery Chashma. An army truck fell into a 200-300 meter deep gorge. Three soldiers were martyred in the accident. This army truck was travelling from Jammu to Srinagar.

This is the reason for the accident
Officials said that the accident took place on National Highway 44 at 11.30 am. The army truck was part of a convoy heading to Srinagar. The accident was so terrible that the truck turned into a pile of iron. The terrible accident occurred due to the loss of balance of the vehicle.
