Parth Pawar Issues Major Clarification; Refutes Allegations of a 'Takeover Bid' by Tatkare and Patel

Mumbai: Parth Pawar had to step forward to put an end to the confusion that had arisen within the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) following the passing of Ajit Pawar. Issuing a major clarification via social media (on 'X'), Parth Pawar categorically dismissed as completely false the rumors suggesting that two factions had emerged within the party, and that senior leaders Sunil Tatkare and Praful Patel were attempting to seize control of the organization.
Following Ajit Pawar's demise, senior party leaders Sunil Tatkare and Praful Patel had been making key decisions regarding party affairs. Subsequently, Deputy Chief Minister Sunetra Pawar was elected as the party's National President. However, prior to this election, State President Sunil Tatkare and Working President Praful Patel had sent a letter to the Election Commission, requesting that "the decision-making powers vested in the National President be transferred to the Working President."
This letter fueled intense speculation regarding the emergence of factionalism within the party. Opponents alleged that Tatkare and Patel were staking a claim for control over the party. Rumors also began circulating within political circles that Sunetra Pawar was displeased with both these leaders.
To put an end to all these rumors, National President Sunetra Pawar sent a separate letter to the Election Commission, clarifying that the letter previously submitted by Tatkare and Patel should not be considered valid.
Ultimately, Parth Pawar posted on 'X', stating:
"All the ongoing discussions and news reports are completely false. Dragging senior leaders like Tatkare and Patel into such fabricated controversies is extremely unfortunate and condemnable."
Parth Pawar's forthrightness has sparked significant discussion within Maharashtra's political circles. His effort is being viewed as crucial for preserving unity within the party.
