Rahul Gandhi Offers Solace to Students Amidst NEET Paper Leak Scandal; Alleges "No Faith Left in the System"

New Delhi: Congress leader and Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, met with aspirants of the NEET examination on Wednesday, May 27, 2026. During this meeting, he launched a scathing attack on the Narendra Modi-led central government regarding the paper leak scandal.
Rahul Gandhi stated, "The students told me in no uncertain terms that they no longer have any faith left in this examination system. Anger was clearly visible on their faces, and their patience has now run out."
Rahul Gandhi shared a post on the social media platform 'X' featuring photographs of this meeting. In his post, he wrote, "The youth of this country will no longer tolerate the corruption and apathy of the Modi government. Remember, it is these very youth who will change this system."
Meeting with the Family of a Student Who Committed Suicide
Earlier, Rahul Gandhi met with the family of Pradeep Meghwal—a student from Sikar, Rajasthan, who committed suicide following the NEET paper leak—at the NSUI office in New Delhi. He held Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan responsible for this incident.
Rahul Gandhi remarked, "Pradeep's death is not merely a suicide; it is the tragic consequence of a corrupt and crumbling system. The leaking of an examination paper is not just about an exam; it signifies the shattering of a child's dreams and the devastation of an entire family."
The NEET-UG paper leak scandal has sparked a massive controversy across the country. Consequently, there is widespread discontent among the student community regarding this issue.
