Sleeping girl picked up from her house, rescued from Tuljapur'; Gang of 5 busted

Pune News: Bharati Vidyapeeth police have busted a gang that kidnapped a two-year-old girl from Katraj area of Pune and took her to beg. Police have safely rescued the girl from Tuljapur and arrested a gang of five. A woman is also involved in this case.
On the night of July 25, one of Dhansingh Kale's two-year-old twin daughters disappeared from his shack-like house in Wonder City area of Katraj. When he realized that the girl was missing late at night, he filed a complaint at Bharati Vidyapeeth police station. The police started an investigation and checked as many as 140 CCTV footages between Katraj and Pune station. In this, three people were seen riding with the girl on a two-wheeler. Later, information about two more was found in the footage of Pune station.
After it was found that all the accused were residents of Tuljapur in Dharashiv district, a police team left for there. Initially, three accused were arrested from Tuljapur and the girl was safely released. During further interrogation, the remaining two were taken into custody. Those arrested include Sunil Bhosale, Shankar Pawar, Shalubai Kale, Ganesh Pawar and Mangal Kale. The accused have confessed to kidnapping the girl for begging. All five accused have been produced before the Pune Sessions Court and have been remanded in police custody till August 2. This case has made it clear that the gangs that kidnap and force children to beg are still active. It is certainly commendable that the police intervened in time and rescued the girl.
