Social media account of Odisha BJP MP’s daughter—who supported calls for Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation—deleted; stir within Odisha BJP
Bhubaneswar – News has emerged that the social media account of Archita Sachin Rahar, daughter of Odisha BJP MP Aparajita Sarangi, has been deleted. It is understood that the account was removed despite her firm stance that she would not delete the post.
Archita had recently expressed support for student protests while sharing news about the resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan from the post of Education Minister. She had also supported the protests by CJP and the hunger strike by Sonam Wangchuk at Jantar Mantar in Delhi. In her post, she had criticized Dharmendra Pradhan and expressed happiness over his resignation.
This post sparked a wave of anger among BJP leaders and workers in Odisha. Some leaders demanded that Aparajita Sarangi keep her daughter in check. Although she had claimed that pressure was being exerted on her to remove the post, she had clearly stated, "I will not delete the post."
Meanwhile, Aparajita Sarangi herself responded on social media. She stated, "Dharmendra Pradhan has resigned. It is a courageous step taken by accepting moral responsibility. We stand by him during these difficult times. May Lord Jagannath shower His blessings upon him."
