Tiger Launches Ferocious Attack on Prajwal While He Played Outdoors; Tragic Incident in Gondia
A young boy met a tragic end in a tiger attack at Adarsh ??Dhabetekdi, located in the Arjuni Morgaon taluka of Gondia district. The incident occurred on Friday (April 10, 2026) at approximately 9:30 PM.
Prajwal Govardhan Meshram (aged 6) was playing outdoors near his home when a tiger, lying in ambush, suddenly pounced on him. In a split second, the tiger snatched the boy and dragged him away toward the forest. The tiger fled the scene after family members and villagers raised an alarm.
The villagers immediately launched a search operation. Prajwal was found in a critically injured condition a short distance from his home; however, he succumbed to his injuries resulting from the ferocious tiger attack. This incident has plunged the entire village into mourning and has created an atmosphere of fear throughout the region.
Forest Department officials have arrived at the scene, and further investigations are underway.
