A hearing was held in Kej court today regarding the custody of Valmik Karad. Valmik Karad was remanded in judicial custody in the case of extortion. However, the SIT demanded in the court that it should get the custody of Valmik Karad in the murder case. Notably, an MCOCA case has been registered against Valmik Karad in the case of Section 302. After hearing the arguments of both sides in this case, the Kej court accepted the demand to give the custody of Valmik Karad to the SIT. Therefore, this is a big blow for Valmik Karad. The CID issued a production warrant against him in the murder case and the court approved it. Therefore, the CID has got the custody of Valmik Karad. Meanwhile, Valmik Karad will be produced in court again tomorrow for police custody in the Santosh Deshmukh murder case. This time, arguments will be made regarding his police custody.

After the cage court verdict, Valmik Karad's lawyer Siddheshwar Thombre reacted to the media. "He was taken into CID custody. In another case. We will challenge it. Nothing was found in the extortion case. Why did the SIT take him? For what purpose? We will see when we get the copy. We will present our case tomorrow when we get the documents. There was a case of some accused on May 29. Karad was not in it. Now his name has been included. We will present our case on it. We will get remand tomorrow. We will talk about it. There has been no complaint since 29/11. Valmik Karad is not named in anything. Still, his name has been included," alleged Valmik Karad's lawyer Siddheshwar Thombre.
