Nagpur, Dt. 19 : Polling for the Lok Sabha General Election 2024 began today in all the five Lok Sabha constituencies of Nagpur district peacefully. Voters were present at the polling stations from seven o'clock in the morning. Long queues of voters were seen everywhere. Special arrangements were made to facilitate voting for disabled and senior voters.
In all the five Lok Sabha constituencies of the division, 44.12 percent polling was recorded till 3 pm. Voting sped up in the afternoon as a large number of citizens came out to vote. A single crowd of women and youth voters was seen at the polling stations.
In Nagpur Lok Sabha constituency, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis exercised his right to vote at the polling station of Hindi Higher Primary School of Municipal Corporation in Dharampeth area. Mother Sarita Fadnavis and wife Amrita Fadnavis also voted along with him.
Divisional Commissioner Vijayalakshmi Bidari exercised his right to vote at the polling station of Dadaji Dhuniwale Higher Primary School of Ravinagar Municipality. Additional Commissioner Madhavi Khode exercised his right to vote. CP of municipality in Ravinagar area. Police Commissioner Dr. And Berar School Polling Station. Ravindra Kumar Singal as well as Collector Dr. Vipin Itankar along with his wife Shivani Itankar exercised their right to vote. Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer Saumya Sharma and senior officials of the administration voted.
In Dabha Marathi Higher Primary School in Nagpur Lok Sabha Constituency, West Nagpur Vidhan Sabha Constituency, voters from Hazari Pahad and Dabha area were seen standing in long queues from seven in the morning to vote. Polling station no.314,315 and 316 were set up in Saraswati Vidyalaya in Shankarnagar area for the voters of Shivajinagar area. In particular, there was a crowding of disabled persons with less than 40 percent disability and senior citizens below 85 years of age. CP of municipality in Ravinagar area. And Berar School and Dadaji Dhuniwale Higher Primary School polling booths also saw a rush of voters.

Election Commission of India had fixed the polling time from 7.00 am to 3.00 pm in the remote as well as sensitive Aheri, Amgaon, Armori, Gadchiroli assembly constituencies of Gadchiroli district as well as in Arjunimorgaon assembly constituency of Bhandara-Gondia Lok Sabha constituency. Voting was conducted peacefully and enthusiastically in this constituency. The district administration had made special arrangements for voting.
