Through this, voting is done for 384 candidates along with the notes. The control unit booth is with the polling officer. The ballot unit is closed on three sides. Voters go to this voting booth and register their votes.

The ballot unit has the party symbol and the names of the candidates. There is also a small photo of the candidates on it. There is a blue button in front of each candidate. Voting is done by pressing that button. After the last vote is cast at the polling station, the polling officer presses the close button on the control unit. After that, no more votes can be cast in the EVM. Voters can check whether their votes have gone to the right candidate or not through a Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPT) machine.
