'Operation Tiger' Successful! 6 Rebel MPs from Uddhav Thackeray's Camp to Join Shinde

Out of the nine MPs in the Thackeray faction, six have decided to form a separate group and merge it with the Shinde Sena. Last week, these MPs sent a letter to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla expressing their desire to join the original Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde faction, holding the 'Bow and Arrow' symbol). An official statement regarding this letter is expected from the MPs today.
Providing details, Minister Pratap Sarnaik said, "In the letter submitted to Om Birla, these six MPs have explicitly requested a merger with the original Shiv Sena. They will make an official announcement regarding this today in the presence of Eknath Shinde and Shrikant Shinde."

The Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) faction currently has nine MPs. Under the anti-defection law (Tenth Schedule), a two-thirds majority—requiring at least six MPs—is necessary for a merger. Since these six MPs have already submitted a letter regarding the merger, the likelihood of disqualification is considered low. With Omraje Nimbalkar also clearly expressing his desire to join the Shinde faction, it appears that 'Operation Tiger' has been a complete success.
