"Fraud under the name of Sindhutai, demanded Rs 15,000 for registration"

Pune: A shocking case has come to light in which a gang has been defrauding youths under the pretext of marriage by misusing the name of social activist Sindhutai Sapkal. This gang has asked the youths to pay Rs 15,000 under the pretext of registration by saying that "girls are available for marriage in the ashram". Mamta Sapkal has warned the citizens to be careful in this regard.
The police have received information that a well-organized gang is working behind this scam. This gang is deceiving the youths by contacting them through fake advertisements and social media in the name of Sindhutai. Money is being extorted by saying, "Girls are ready for marriage in our ashram, just pay the registration fee." So far, information is coming to light that many youths have fallen victim to this fraud.
Mamta Sapkal clarified that no such registration or marriage arrangements are made in any of Sindhutai Sapkal's ashrams. "This is a complete scam. People should not give money to any stranger and should not believe in such fraudulent advertisements," she appealed.
The police have started an investigation into the matter and have appealed to the citizens to be vigilant. If any suspicious matter is found, they should immediately contact the nearest police station, the police said. Since this scam is hurting Sindhutai's social work, strict action is being demanded in this regard.
The administration has appealed to the citizens to be wary of such fraudulent schemes and to check the complete information before paying any amount.
