New policy for updating ITIs important for creating technically skilled manpower - Mangal Prabhat Lodha

Nagpur, 05: The government is committed to providing technically skilled young manpower through industrial training institutes in the state. The pace at which the needs of industrialization are changing. New technologies are coming. Products from solar energy to electric vehicles have increased. In order to make the skilled manpower required for this available, the Maharashtra government has recently announced a policy and with the participation of companies, the state's Skill, Employment, Entrepreneurship and Innovation Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha expressed his belief that they can create a young generation with skills as per their needs.
He was speaking at a seminar organized at Chitnavis Park, Civil Lines, on the modernization of government industrial training institutes through public-private partnership. On this occasion, Dr., Vice Chancellor of Ratan Tata Maharashtra State Skill University, Apoorva Palkar, President of Advantage Vidarbha Ashish Kale, Joint Director Yogesh Patil, Nikhil Mundle, Coordinator of Mitra Vinay Kumar Sote and representatives of various companies were present.
There are about 418 industrial training centers of the Maharashtra government in the state. Along with this, there are six hundred industrial training institutions in the private sector. It is a fact that the training provided through these institutions will have to be done according to the employment opportunities available in the industrial sector and as per the need. The government has understood some of the shortcomings and to overcome them, we have adopted a policy of updating industrial training institutions through private partnership. As per this policy, we are eager to work with the private industry and companies should come forward with confidence, Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha appealed.
We have set the objective of transforming our ITI institutions into world-class training centers behind this policy. The said policy will be implemented with the participation of the Department of Skill Development, Employment and Entrepreneurship, Ratan Tata Maharashtra State Skill University, Maharashtra State Board of Skill Trade, Education and Training, Maharashtra State Innovation Society, Maharashtra State Skill Development Society.
With the efforts of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, a large number of new industries are coming up in Vidarbha. Entrepreneurs are making huge investments in Vidarbha. Advantage Vidarbha Chairman Kiran Kale expressed the hope that the technically skilled manpower required by the industrial sector will be created through this new policy of the government.
Investment in human skills is a continuous process. There is no alternative to it and that is why the government has brought this new policy. Vice Chancellor Dr. Apoorva Palkar said that if we all come together and make efforts, the issue of skilled manpower will be resolved immediately. In this program, entrepreneurs from Vidarbha interacted with Skill, Employment, Entrepreneurship and Innovation Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha.
