"Pakistan is mired in extremism and terrorism"; India speaks at UN
On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the United Nations, India has once again taken a strong stand for global peace, multilateral cooperation and against terrorism. India has once again reprimanded Pakistan on terrorism. India's Ambassador to the UN Parvataneni Harish explained in her speech how the nature of conflicts has changed after the Cold War and how the role of terrorist organizations has increased.
Referring to the recent Pahalgam terror attack, in which 26 tourists were killed, India also informed about the precise action taken by Pakistan and terrorist camps in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir under 'Operation Sindoor'.
Giving a befitting reply to Pakistan, India said that on the one hand, India is a mature democracy, an emerging economy. On the other hand, Pakistan is a country mired in extremism and terrorism and is constantly borrowing from the International Monetary Fund.
India has clearly stated that Pakistani terrorists attack schools and kill innocent children and the Pakistani army bombs refugee camps on the Afghan border, killing many children. In such a situation, Pakistan has no moral right to speak on the issue of terrorism. P. Harish strongly criticized Pakistan's role in encouraging terrorist activities.
India's strong objection to IMF loan
India has expressed strong objection to the proposal to provide a new financial package to Pakistan. India has seriously accused Pakistan of misusing international funds, especially loans received from the IMF, to encourage cross-border terrorist activities. India has demanded that ethical considerations be included in the framework of global lending.
