A Bangladesh Air Force training aircraft crashed at around 1.30 pm on Monday, July 21. It was an F7 aircraft and crashed into a college campus in the Uttara area of northern Dhaka. A total of 19 people, including 16 children, were killed and several others were injured in the crash. According to a report in Bangladesh's leading Bengali newspaper 'Prothom Alo', four injured people have been taken to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) by an Air Force helicopter.

The plane crashed in the afternoon into the campus of the 'Milestone School and College' in the Uttara area of Dhaka, where children were attending. Television footage shows fire and smoke rising from the crash site. A teacher at Milestone College told The Daily Star newspaper that he was standing near the college building when the plane hit the three-story school building head-on, trapping several students inside.
