
Family gathering of journalists on Independence Day Award-winning journalists honored, journalists' children honored
Nagpur: On the occasion of Independence Day, a family gathering of journalists was organized at the Press Club in collaboration with Nagpur Shramik Patrakar Sangh, Tilak Patrakar Bhawan Trust and Press Club of Nagpur. President's Medal winner Joint Commissioner of Police Naveen Chandra Reddy was present as the chief guest at the function. Assistant Commissioner of Social Welfare Department Sukeshini Telgote was specially present on the occasion.
At the beginning of the function, award-winning journalists from Nagpur were honored. These included Humera Mariam (Hitavadi), Satish Raut (Hitavad), Dr. The awardees included Yogesh Pandey (Lokmat), Yogendra Tiwari (India TV), Rakhi Chavan (Loksatta), Naresh Shelke (Sakal), Suresh alias Chhotu Vaitage (Dainik Bhaskar), Ram Bhakere (Loksatta), Shrimant Mane (Lokmat), Vivek Deshpande (Indian Express), Ramu Bhagat (Times of India) and senior journalist Prabhakar Dupare. At this function, the children of journalists who scored more than 60 percent marks in the 10th and 12th standard examinations were felicitated. These include Kasturi Ram Bhakere, Tanusha Paritosh Pramanik, Tanmayi Bipendra Singh, Devang Bipendra Singh, Aditi Anand Sharma, Devang Rajesh Rampurkar, Amogh Hemant Salodkar, Gargi Sunil Soni, Raunak Akash Dupare and Rihan Dupare.
After the felicitation ceremony, Rajesh Samarth and his band performed patriotic songs and other melodious songs. Singer Swastika Thakur also won the hearts of the audience with her melodious songs.
