Nagpur: Passengers of the special bus coming to Nagpur city transport hub will have to face some inconvenience. From 20th August onwards, they will be able to board private buses reaching Inner Ring Road or Palikade. Similarly, passengers traveling by private buses will not be dropped in the city. On Inner Ring Road, passengers will have to use Uttaran Metro or city bus or any other means of transport.
Like Pune, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar and other cities in the state, Nagpur will also have special buses going to the city or Bahrain. Nagpur Police Commissioner Dr. Ravindra Singal has said that private buses are the biggest contributors to Nagpur's traffic jam and that is why the solution was planned.
Private bus parking, drop or lift will not be allowed between 8 am to 10 pm within Nagpur city except Ring Road. Passengers will be able to get admission in special buses by going to Inner Ring Road or Tyapalikade.
Nagpur Traffic Police has announced strict measures to resolve the traffic congestion in Nagpur. Police Commissioner Dr. Ravindra Singal has defended the decision. Temporary hubs will be set up for private buses on the Inner Ring Road and the permanent solution is proposed to be a bus terminal.
Nagpur Municipal Corporation, Nagpur Metro Region Development Authority, various government institutions and administrations are working together to find solutions to the problem and the Police Commissioner has said that efforts will be made to start various highway bus terminals around Nagpur.
