Free ration all year round! A big announcement for the poor in the Union Budget
DELHI: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the Union Budget 2023 today. He made many important announcements. At that time, Nirmala Sitharaman has announced to give free ration to poor people for a year under Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Food Yojana. He also informed that the central government has allocated 2 lakh crores for this scheme.

Nirmala Sitharaman announced that more than 80 crore people were provided free food grains for 28 months under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana.
