Government will make a law to prevent leakage of question papers

 - Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis' announcement in the Assembly Mumbai. Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Monday said that a law will be made during the current monsoon session of the state legislature to prevent leakage of question papers of examinations. Fadnavis made this announcement while answering a supplementary question on the issue of recruitment in government jobs during the Question Hour in the state assembly. Congress leader Balasaheb Thorat, Nationalist Congress Party (Sharadchandra Pawar) MLA Rohit Pawar, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)'s Ashish Shelar and Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray)'s Bhaskar Jadhav questioned the government whether it would make any strict law to stop the leakage of question papers. In response to this, Fadnavis said that a bill will be introduced in this session to make a law. Responding to Rohit Pawar's question, Fadnavis said that the Center has made a law regarding paper leak. The previous government in the state had decided to make a similar law. He said that a few days ago I had a discussion with a delegation of students, at that time I told them that we want to bring a law in this regard and we are going to bring the law in this session.
Congress President had made the demand
In view of the allegations of leakage of question paper of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) and irregularities in various other examinations, Maharashtra unit chief of Congress Nana Patole had said on Saturday that the state government should make strict laws to prevent leakage of question papers and punish the culprits.
