BRS leader Kavitha's bail plea rejected
New Delhi. BRS leader K. Kavitha, who is facing action by ED and CBI in the Delhi liquor scam, has suffered a major setback. The Delhi High Court has rejected her bail plea. On May 28, the court had reserved the order on both bail pleas of Kavitha. Kavitha had challenged the May 6 order of the lower court in which her bail plea was rejected in the CBI corruption case as well as the ED money laundering case.

Medha Patkar sentenced to 5 months' imprisonment in defamation case
New Delhi. A Delhi court on Monday sentenced social activist Medha Patkar to 5 months' simple imprisonment in a 24-year-old defamation case. The case was filed by VK Saxena. VK Saxena is now the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi. The court also ordered Patkar to pay Rs 10 lakh as compensation to Saxena.

Car collides with truck in Yavatmal, 4 people killed
Yavatmal. A road accident has taken place near Kalamb on the Yavatmal-Nagpur highway, in which 4 people died. A speeding Innova car hit a truck standing on the highway from behind. The incident happened early this morning. There were a total of 5 people in the Innova car, out of which four people died and one is seriously injured.

Kejriwal reaches High Court against CBI case
New Delhi. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has approached the Delhi court challenging his arrest and remand in the CBI case related to the alleged liquor policy scam. On June 29, the Rouse Avenue Court sent Kejriwal to jail in judicial custody till July 12.

Terrorist aide arrested from Baramulla

Mastermind of the case arrested in fake visa case
Mumbai. Recently, Mumbai Crime Branch arrested Navy Lieutenant Commander Vipin Kumar Dagar on the basis of inputs received from several agencies. It is alleged that the accused used to send people to South Korea by making fake passports and visas and misused his position. According to the Crime Branch, the mastermind of the case in this case, Sub-Lieutenant Brahma Jyoti, on whose instructions Vipin Dangar used to work, has also been arrested.
