Hunger Strike Against NEET Paper Leak: Kejriwal Meets Sonam Wangchuk; Resignation of Education Minister Demanded
New Delhi: A massive protest is underway in Delhi regarding the NEET exam paper leak scandal. Ladakh-based environmental activist Sonam Wangchuk and members of the ‘Cockroach Janata Party’ are observing an indefinite hunger strike at Jantar Mantar. They have demanded the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
Sonam Wangchuk began his hunger strike at Jantar Mantar on June 28; today marks the 20th day of the protest. Concerns are being raised across the country as his health deteriorates day by day.
Against this backdrop, former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal met Sonam Wangchuk at Jantar Mantar yesterday. During the meeting, Kejriwal expressed his support for the protesters.
The NEET paper leak issue has sparked a major controversy across the nation, and there is immense anger among students. Protesters are accusing the government, arguing that serious questions have been raised regarding the transparency of the examination.
